2024 LTA Tennis Sussex Awards Winners

2024 LTA Tennis Sussex Awards!

Thankyou to everyone that joined us at the Tennis Sussex annual Awards, which took place at the Amex Stadium Brighton. We announced many of our local hero’s as part of the LTA Tennis Awards. This year we welcomed back Sky News sports presenter Rob Curling to the stage.

The LTA Tennis Sussex Awards celebrate the achievements made by outstanding individuals and venues in tennis throughout the past year, from grassroots tennis to elite performance. They present us all with a great opportunity to say “thank you” to those who generously give their time to our sport and open up tennis.

We crowned 14 LTA winners including Park Venue of the Year, Performance Coach and School of the Year along with some of our Tennis Sussex Awards, the Sheppard Cup and Adult Team of the Year. We also had a new award introduced this year Disability Player of the Year, which Amanda Chalmers was crowned. Winner Amanda Chalmers won a silver medal in the 2023 year’s World Transplant Games in Australia. The courageous young player, who had a life-saving double lung transplant in 2012, was a member of Team Great Britain and Northern Ireland’s victorious side which topped the medals table.

The LTA winners now go through to a regional judging panel with regional winners announced in April. The national ceremony will be held in London in July.
