And the Winners Are… 2025 LTA Tennis Sussex Awards Recap!

The 2025 LTA Tennis Sussex Awards was a night to remember, celebrating the incredible talent and dedication within our tennis community. This year we welcomed Sussex County Player Alex Hyman to host the awards.

The LTA Tennis Sussex Awards celebrate the achievements made by outstanding individuals and venues in tennis throughout the past year, from grassroots tennis to elite performance. They present us all with a great opportunity to say “thank you” to those who generously give their time to our sport and open up tennis.

We crowned 12 LTA Winners, alongside Tennis Sussex stand-alone awards including Ross Cudmore and Matt Grover (pictured left) who picked up Disability Players of the Year Award. Ross and Matt are the World Double Para Standing Champions. On the night we saw Crowborough Racquets & Squash Club pick up Club of the year and the Player of the Year award went to Sonay Kartal, whose outstanding performances in 2024, included a great run at Wimbledon and finishing the year in the top 100.

There were also plenty of other incredible achievements across the board, showcasing the strength and growth of Tennis in Sussex. A huge congratulations to all the winners and nominees! Here’s to another year of incredible tennis! Photo Credit: Charlotte Coney
