National Volunteer Week

Volunteers’ Week is a UK-wide campaign that takes place each year during the first week of June, recognising the invaluable contributions of volunteers across the country. This year, it runs from Monday 2nd to Sunday 8th June.

What are you doing in your venues to celebrate Volunteer week why not host a get-together to say a big ‘thank you’? Consider including food and drinks, a guest speaker, workshops, or some fun activities to show your appreciation and bring your volunteer community together. If you do, Tennis Sussex would love to hear from you!

This week also marks the opening of nominations for the 2026 LTA Tennis Sussex Awards, the perfect opportunity to celebrate the dedicated individuals who make a real difference in your venue. Nominations open on the 1st June-30th November.

Each venue is invited to nominate one outstanding volunteer who deserves recognition for their hard work, passion, and commitment to your tennis venue. Every volunteer nominated will get a shout out on social media and either a thankyou phone call from a member of the Tennis Sussex management board OR a digital thankyou card.
