As you are aware, the LTA is running a series of webinars to provide further information and advice on the various financial support schemes that are available from Government and Sport England to coaches and venues in England. The first coach webinar actually took place last night (Wednesday 3rd February) with over 80 attendees and the engagement was very positive.
These Government support schemes are the primary financial support schemes for individuals and organisations impacted by the coronavirus pandemic across all industries, including tennis coaches. Whilst the LTA itself was able to provide initial emergency financial support to LTA Accredited coaches and registered venues, as well as to players and officials, in spring last year ahead of payments from Government support schemes coming on stream, we are unfortunately not in a position to provide additional financial support at this time. Instead our focus is on supporting and enabling our delivery partners to better understand what Government support options are available, as well as sharing practical advice and additional resources.
The first two sessions for coaches took place last night (Wednesday 3rd February) and this morning (Thursday 4th February) and the ones for clubs and venues take place at 11 am on 5 February and 6 pm on 8 February. Registration is via the following links:
For those who cannot attend, the webinars will be recorded and available to watch back after they have taken place, accessible via the LTA’s coronavirus page. If there is sufficient demand, additional webinars may also be scheduled.
