This year we are determined that the on-going health restrictions are not going to stop our enjoyment of tennis. And that’s why, here at Tennis Sussex we have come up with an idea of a festival of tennis combining tennis and beach tennis. It will be a full-on-fun competitive festival aimed at companies and organisations determined to give their hard working employees a chance to enjoy some summer days and evenings together.
This is how it will work. There will be a Tennis Tournament held in a prestigious club in Sussex. And following on there will another Beach Tennis tournament organised by the sea in Brighton. Companies can select 4 players – two men and two women. Players must be over 18. (But there is no upper age limit). Companies can enter more than one team.
All the matches played will be a mixed format. They will be based on a round robin system meaning that all the teams will play exactly the same number of matches.
Companies can bring reserves and as many supporters as they like. It will be up to each company to decide whether they want to use the same players over the two events or rotate accordingly. There are no restrictions.
Companies will have the opportunity to organise their own team building sessions as well as network with the other companies involved in the days or evenings.
It is encouraged that companies only use their employees or affiliates to maintain the spirit of the festival.
Both the tournaments will take place on Wednesday August 18th.
After the tournament our headline partner Rockwater will host a special party at their iconic Beach Bar and Restaurant
The cost for entering the Tennis Sussex festival of tennis will be £1000 for each team. This will cover the organisation of both tournaments. And all profits will be invested into Tennis in Sussex and primarily organising tournaments for younger players and socially more deprived children who get limited opportunities to play the sport.
Companies will automatically become partners of Tennis Sussex and their logos will appear on the website with links. All branding will also appear on communications with the 110 Tennis Clubs in Sussex with an approximate community of 20,000 players and coaches in the Sussex region.
In the past Partners of Tennis Sussex have been rewarded with the opportunity to purchase prestigious tennis tournament tickets. These are normally used to recognise key staff or entertain important clients.
Other benefits include an opportunity to network with partners at other events including awards evenings and organised Tennis Sussex corporate days.
