Tennis Sussex are pleased to sponsor Jane Nash’s Sussex County Schools Championship event every year which take place at Bede’s Senior School. Nine events take place between March-June from ages 8 Years through to U18. We welcome lots of schools every year but are always looking for more schools to get involved.

LTA Youth Schools is designed specifically for schools to support the curriculum and wider school outcomes, our tennis for schools programme brings together inclusive PE lesson plans, personal development resources, teacher training and much more. It’s all been designed by teachers, for teachers, and it’s all free.
Take part and complete online training to receive a £250 reward voucher for your school. The voucher can be spent on school tennis equipment or 10 hours of team teaching with an LTA Accredited Coach.

The Primary programme includes detailed inclusive PE lesson plans focused on developing fundamental movement skills, and accompanying videos showing the activities in action. Our primary school teacher training includes personal development assemblies and challenges, cross-curricular STEM resources, as well as intra and inter school competitions, including the School Games skills festivals.

What can you expect for Secondary Schools
- Detailed PE lesson plans
- GCSE assessment drills & accompanying videos
- Modified formats of the game
- Fun games within the sports hall
- Employability materials, including Tennis Leaders Award
- Mental health and wellbeing resources
- Intra & inter school competitions
The Secondary school programme also includes detailed inclusive PE lesson plans, GCSE PE assessment drills, and accompanying videos. There are modified formats of the game: the high-energy fitness-based Cardio Tennis, and the fun games within sports hall Red Ball tennis, meaning tennis is accessible and engaging for everyone.
There are also a variety of employability materials including the Tennis Leaders Award, and mental health and wellbeing resources, plus intra and inter school competitions for all abilities.
